How to get files and pictures from the game?

You need to go to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\
The folder is hidden by default
You do not have permission to access too.

After this, you can go to C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.AgeCastles_xxx (xxx = version)

You can open the .loc with notepad. You do not need to download a software.

Now, we are inside the folder.

If you want sentences display in the game, you can find them in castles.data\localization\. (ie: int = English, fra = French...)

I used a DDS Converter, so I could convert them to PNG. This one: http://www.ddsconverter.com/.

Buildings, heroes and units pictures are in this folder: castles.data\gui\textures\

The are 2 size of the pictures, portrait_level01.dds and portrait_level01_small.dds. Try to take the big one.

You can find buttons, background, achievements...
